Multi-purpose cutlery set
Designed to combine the functions of the fork and spoon, this disposable cutlery synthesises in a single artefact two of the indispensable tools for bringing food to the mouth. The tines of the fork become the handle of the spoon, which in turn becomes the handle of the fork, in a relationship of perfect reversibility. The design invention is functional to the changes taking place in the practice of eating (eating in a hurry, standing and informally).
In 2001, the Moscardino was awarded the Compasso D’Oro and after little more than twenty years this cutlery, initially made for Pandora Design and produced in mater-bi – a bioplastic derived from completely biodegradable corn starch – was reissued in stainless steel by Alessi, confirming its stainless iconicity…
