Exhibition project for: City After City – Urban Orchard, curated by Maite Garcia Sanchis, on the occasion of the XXI Trienniale, at Expo 2015 Village.
Urban Orchard presents the contemporary image of the movements of urban vegetable gardening, drawing on this varied documentation which is laid out on the tables as if it were an open archive at the disposal of the visitor. Each table recounts a particular episode in the seven key themes around which the exhibition is structured: the occupation and reappropriation of public space, the return to vegetable gardening as a resource in times of crisis, the extension of cultivable space to roofs, urban agriculture as a resource for the construction of the city, the transformation of private gardens into productive areas, self-management and, finally, neighborhood networks.
